Course Content
On completion of this course delegates will be able to:
- Appreciate the background to the new legislation.
- Understand the importance of and methods of conducting a Fire Risk assessment.
- Understand the principles of risk prevention and risk control.
Demonstrate an understanding of the Regulatory Reform (Fire safety) Order 2005, including:
- The role of and duties imposed on the Responsible person, the Employee, the Fire Marshal (or warden), external competent assistance
- The role and the powers of the Fire Inspector including the range of Notices that the Inspector may issue.
- The law’s other requirements, the offences and the penalties.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the Fire Safety arrangements required in a Fire Policy and procedures, documents and records necessary to ensure compliance.
- Identify the action that the Company will be required to take in order to minimise fire risk and to comply with the new law.
