Manes Control Ltd Description Established in1994 provide specialist control systems for a variety of industries including Water Treatment, Pharmaceuticals, Telecoms, Converting Systems, Heating & Ventilation are looking to recruit an Apprentice Electrical Fitter.

Purpose of the job:
To undertake an apprenticeship scheme as an Apprentice Electrical Fitter leading to a nationally recognised qualification and accreditation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
To complete a programme of training to be conducted within the Faculty’s Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering departmental workshops.
Contribute to a healthy and safe working environment; work to the HSE approved codes of practice.
To become proficient in the application and use of a wide range of tools including, but not restricted to, conventional drilling and tapping.
Fitting and assembly skills including the use of hand tools and marking out.
Metalwork, soldering and other jointing processes. Electrical and electronic maintenance and fault finding. Report writing and use of data to understand machine issues.
Measurement and inspection techniques using a variety of metrology equipment.
Training in the use of Electrical and Electronics using proprietary software packages.
Attendance at a college on a day release basis leading to recognized NVQ qualifications over a 4 year period.
Carrying out such tasks and duties as directed by the Shopfloor Manager that are calculated to contribute to the requisite levels of performance and competence.
To provide instructions and advise within the Department commensurate with training completed.
