Guenther Bakeries UK Limited is a manufacturer of high quality fresh and frozen bread based products who deliver every day on time and in full across the UK and Europe.

Two Apprentice Maintenance Engineers required to start September 2018, would ideally suit school leaver. To support the engineering team in the efficient and effective maintenance and repair of our plant and equipment whilst continually developing ideas to improve performance.

Vacancy description

As an apprentice engineer at Guenther Bakeries UK Limited you will gain the skills required to maintain an automated operation of equipment performance and reliability through planned preventative maintenance, continuous improvement, reactive fault finding and root cause analysis.

  • To successfully complete the Engineering Apprenticeship Scheme, to include all elements of the Apprenticeship Framework relevant to the chosen engineering discipline.
  • To learn the principles of engineering both academic and practical.
  • To attend all classroom and workshop based training.
  • To work competently and safely in order to develop necessary engineering technical skills and knowledge, functional skill and behaviours to become deemed competent as an engineer.
  • To apply appropriate skills while gaining experience and demonstrate confidence to raise concerns and/or issues on site and at College.
  • To perform all duties in accordance with Guenther Bakeries policies, generic and specific risk assessments, Health & Safety Requirements and work instructions.
