Healthwatch Rochdale Ltd are looking to recruit a Business Administration Apprentice.

The purpose of Healthwatch is to act as a consumer champion giving a voice to local people and patients to enable them to comment on and make representations about the way health and social care services in the area are commissioned and delivered. The aim is to contribute to the improvement and development of these services for the benefit of all sectors of the community.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:  

1. Support the information and signposting service to include responding to telephone enquiries and use of online resources. 2. To share Healthwatch Rochdale’s communications with information providers in Rochdale (e.g. safeguarding newsletters). 3. To support the production of information materials such as ID badges for volunteers and other tasks when required.
4. To support research projects with graphics design when required.
5. To create and monitor databases of information when required (e.g. lists of event attendees).
6. Together with the Healthwatch team, maintain the Healthwatch Rochdale’s database and mailing lists.
7. Support the wider team by answering the telephone and directing to the relevant staff leads. 
8. To lead on content for designated website pages, ensuring the information is up-to-date, relevant and accurate e.g. events page. 
9. To process email enquiries from the public where directed.
10. To support meetings and events when required. 

General duties:
11. To keep up to date with developments in policy and health and social care issues
12. To participate in relevant learning and development courses and programmes.
13.  To undertake any other duties commensurate with the post.
