Almic Engineering is a family operated business which has have been established for over 55 years, ISO 9001 accredited and service a wide range for industries, from Agricultural, MOD, Nuclear, Water and Industrial Gas as amongst others. Batch sizes from 1 off through to 200 off. Tolerances vary by customer and work type, from 13 microns to 0.2mm.

We are inviting enthusiastic individuals who are committed to learning new skills and knowledge with the appropriate experience, qualifications and personal qualities to apply for this exciting opportunity.

You will be supported to undertake recognised qualifications whilst gaining invaluable on-the-job experience. You will need to be a team player, reliable, adaptable, conscientious, and able to work to instructions.

  • Setting CNC machines whilst writing/modifying programs.
  • You will be responsible for setting and running of two machines.
  • Undertake general engineering activities and operate in an efficient manner whilst using your own initiative.
  • Production of high standard products and components.
  • Provide support to the Engineering team to a high standard of accuracy and presentation.

Working week
  • Monday to Thursday 7.30am-4.30pm, Friday 7.30am-12.30pm Overtime 6.30-7.30am and Friday afternoon. 33 days Holiday.

Things to consider

Part of your training will take place at Rochdale Training's Training Centre (OL16 5NA) on a day release basis.

National Apprenticeship week is 4th-8th March 2019. We are holding an Open Day/Evening from 10.30am-7.30pm. Feel free to come along and meet our tutor's. This is your opportunity to ask questions and take a look around our engineering workshop.
