Confined Space Awareness

Who is this course aimed at?

This course is designed for all personnel responsible for the design of safe working practices and overall responsibility and supervision of personnel entering into confined spaces.  It covers the legislation surrounding confined space entry, techniques for recognising potentially hazardous situations and their remedies, and good safety practices.    This course would suit managers, charge hands and supervisors who also manage confined space operations.

Aims and Objectives of the course:

On completion of the course, delegates shall be competent in;

  • Demonstrating an understanding of the legal requirements surrounding confined space operations.
  • Recognising types of confined spaces and their associated hazards.
  • Implementing control measures to either eliminate or reduce potential risk.
  • Organizing and implementing appropriate accident and emergency procedures.
  • Identifying the wide range of confined space safety equipment and its uses.
