Biscor is looking for an Engineering Apprentice for the position of Belt Fabricator. The role will include responsibility for ensuring customer orders are filled in the most efficient and expeditious method making sure that quality specifications and delivery requirements are met in a safe environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • To make belts and other fabricated products as required
  • To ensure the quality of the product meets the required standards
  • To ensure high standards of housekeeping are maintained
Specific Responsibilities:

Adhering to Quality Standards and procedures at all stages of manufacture Manufacture of Zone Tapes to works order specifications from prepared components
Notifying Fabrication Manager should any product or production stage fail to meet Quality Standards and Product Specifications
Checking final product prior to packing
Completing final inspection documentation and signing in appropriate places
Assisting with end of year stocktaking as directed by Production Manager
Raising requisitions for stock replacement of belt fittings when stock falls to re-order level Maintaining any equipment used for manufacture or inspection procedures and returning to original location

Desired skills

Skills/Experience: No experience needed. Full training provided with mentor. Basic IT skills desirable.

Please note this role include heavy lifting at times. You must be capable of lifting heavy objects (minimum of 25kg).
