This is a great opportunity for three people to gain an Apprenticeship in Business Administration within a long established local business.   Performance Doorset Solutions Ltd is based in Littleborough and Manufacturers quality products such as doors and windows. The team manage design, manufacturer and install the products for customers across the Country. 

Vacancy description

There are two departments who require apprentices to support its administration function. While the duties are similar, the teams have a different purpose.

These include:

  • Buying The buying office is responsible for ensuring all the raw materials are on site just in time.
  • Products come from across Europe to make the final product.
  • This team ensure everything is delivered to the manufacturing site in time for production.
  • Finance The finance team need to control money, paying suppliers and employees while ensuring customers are paying on time.  
  • You will be providing administrative support, dealing with customers by phone and general administrative duties.

Key Accountabilities:  

  • Serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately and giving relevant
  • Safety Induction.
  • Answer, Screen and forward any incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed
  • Receive, send and sort daily mail / deliveries / couriers
  • Maintain security by following procedures and controlling access (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)
  • Update appointment calendars and schedule meetings / appointments
  • Perform other clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, collating, faxing etc.
  • Review current systems and processes and offer suggestions to improve effectiveness, make more efficient, or provide an economical saving
Other Duties

  • Sending company notices / emails to staff
  • Creating and distributing ‘Tip of the Day’, ‘Daily H&S Summary Report’ and the ‘weekly Whereabouts’ as well as general PDS / Group communication
  • Support Sales with data creation and document processing.
  • Reviewing and controlling the use of Business Meeting Rooms, including the planning of PPE, customer inductions, safety communication, refreshments, etc.
  • Provide support to the PDS Senior Leadership team, including email follow-ups, typing letters etc.
