The Engineering team have a new position for enthusiastic Machine maintenance Apprentices who can work well in a team. The job role will include carrying out preventative maintenance activities on mechanical equipment, dealing with breakdowns, restoring components and systems to serviceable condition by repair and replacement.

Vacancy description

Daily duties will include:

  • Using and interpreting engineering data and documentation
  • Carrying out engineering activities efficiently and effectively
  • Handing over and confirming completion of maintenance or installation activities
  • Carrying out fault location on mechanical equipment
  • Undertaking maintenance activities on mechanical equipment
  • Restoring mechanical components to acceptable condition by repair
The Apprentice will be mentored by experienced engineers. Duties will include hands-on assistance with the production of finished products. Once trained you will operate machinery and play a key a key role in the operation.

Desired skills

  • Must have an interest in Engineering and Manufacturing, while also being prepared to work as part of a team.
  • No experience is required as full training will be provided, but you must be prepared to apply yourself to a full time position.  You will have a good understanding of both maths and English.
