Novice Fork Lift Truck Operator (Counterbalance)

Who is this course aimed at?

People who have no previous experience on Lift Trucks and who are mature in manner towards work, they should have full movement of trunk, neck and full use of their limbs, good hearing and eyesight.

Course Content:

  • Operators codes of practice
  • Pre use checks
  • Controls and instruments
  • Basic and advanced manoeuvres
  • Hydraulic controls and stability with weight assessment
  • Metal corner post pallets
  • Vehicle loading/unloading

Aims and Objectives of the course:

  • On successful completion of the course the operator will be able to demonstrate how to operate an FLT correctly and safely 
  • Practical ability to use a FLT under examination
  • Correct method of carrying out pre use inspection completing theory paper.

Method:

Lecture, group work demonstration, videos, question and answers, practical experience while under assessment.

Duration:

5 Days

Achievement: 

On completion delegates will obtain a lift truck Certificate accredited to a national standard.

Sturdy footwear or company identified PPE requirement
