Rochdale Borough Council - A council which builds success and prosperity with our citizens and partners, whilst protecting our vulnerable people are looking to recruit a Revenue & Benefits Adult Care Apprentice.

Applicants will be assigned to the following team the principal duties of which are:  
Council Tax Carrying out financial assessments for those in receipt of an Adult Care residential or community based service Carrying out benefit checks to maximise income
Processing referrals for financial assessment Setting up personal budget charges
Administering the Deferred Payment Scheme for those in long term residential care who own property    

In addition you will provide efficient and effective service including:
Supporting the team by maintaining databases and records of work received and completed  Inputting data onto and retrieving data from computer systems
Using IT packages for word processing, spreadsheet and database applications
Support colleagues in the service in periods of high demand
General administrative support duties
Scanning and indexing documents to our document imaging system
Using e-mail to distribute messages
Dealing with customer telephone and e-mail enquiries in a courteous and professional manner, taking advice from the Line Manager when appropriate
Attending appropriate training to achieve the agreed Apprenticeship qualifications Any other duties as deemed appropriate by your line manager

Qualifications required Have a minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above (including Math and English), or equivalent Evidence of a good standard of literacy and numeracy
