Looking to recruit a Student Nursery Practitioner/Apprentice.

Vacancy description

  • The first priority must by the welfare of the children. 
  • You will observe and help the Nursery Practitioners as much as possible.
  • You will not be asked to work alone with a group of children. 
  • You will always have support, and advice will be available throughout the day.
  • You will be responsible, along with a Nursery practitioner, for engaging a group of children of various ages in meaningful activities according to the planning, the children must be supervised at all times, and their individual needs catered for.
  • You will take some responsibility for the safe and hygienic upkeep of the nursery and it’s resources. 
  • Any toys, games, or equipment that may be damaged or in need of repair, must be reported to the Manager and removed from play areas.
  • The children will follow The Early Years Foundation Stage, you will be responsible for ensuring the children are allowed to choose activities for themselves following the guidance of the E.Y.F.S.
  • You will work with the Nursery Practitioner as part of a team and will need to be flexible to adapt to changing situations. 
  • The need to work well with others as part of a team is vital to the welfare of the children and to the smooth running of the nursery as a whole.
  • You must be an entertainer, fun, loving, caring and be able to work in a team as well as using your own initiative.

The Management will help and support you during your time at Supertots, and you must seek advice when needed. With full training and an in house mentor, you will be supported every step of the way.
