Summary
To deliver a high standard of learning ,development and care for children aged 0-5 years ·
To ensure the nursery is a safe environment for children ·
To be responsible for any reasonable tasks delegated by the Assistant Manager/Nursery Manager
To complete all academic aspects of the apprenticeship

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- To contribute to a programme of activities that meets the individual needs and interests of children in your area.
- To ensure that the nursery meets the requirements of Ofsted at all times
- Engage in good team working
- Liaise with and support parents and other family members.
- To understand and work to nursery policies and procedures, including how to deal with child protection issues appropriately and how to respond to incidents, accidents, complaints and emergencies
- To Help plan activities which are developmentally appropriate for individual children
- Read understand and adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to your role as deemed appropriate by the Manager
- To help ensure records are properly maintained e.g. daily register, accident and incident records and risk assessments
- To assist staff in delivering an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation that enables children to make individual

Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Qualifications
- GCSE or equivalent English (Grade C/ 4 or above)
- GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade C/ 4 or above)

Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week). We offer child care in three rooms, our sunshine room is for children aged 0-2, our rainbow room is for children aged 2-3 and our bright stars preschool room is for children aged 3-4 years.
