Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Reading of Autocad drawings
- Cutting material and job preparation including marking out and jig assembly
- fabrication on a variety of bespoke and standardised products. Working with predominantly Mild Steel but regular works with stainless steel DPOL & MPOL, Brass, antique brass, copper and bronze
- Finishing, polishing and quality control
- Guillotine cutting and folding
- Tube Notching and use of other grinding machinery for metal shaping and finishing
- Use of hand and power tools
