Apprentice Fabricator Level 3 - CARTER ORIGIN LTD

Summary

We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as an Engineering Apprentice. You will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment while studying for a relevant qualification. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills, knowledge and build a successful career in manufacturing and engineering.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Reading of Autocad drawings
  • Cutting material and job preparation including marking out and jig assembly
  • fabrication on a variety of bespoke and standardised products. Working with predominantly Mild Steel but regular works with stainless steel DPOL & MPOL, Brass, antique brass, copper and bronze
  • Finishing, polishing and quality control
  • Guillotine cutting and folding
  • Tube Notching and use of other grinding machinery for metal shaping and finishing
  • Use of hand and power tools
