Summary

HMS Welding has an apprentice Sheet Metal Worker apprentice position available with the successful the candidate working with experienced fabricators & welders. This is a great opportunity as you will be supported through to an Advanced Apprenticeship with the opportunity to go on to a higher Apprenticeship.

£15,392 a year

Rate of pay for an apprentice is £8.00 per hour.

Hours: Apprentice Sheet Metal Worker / Fabricator Monday – Thursday 08.00 am to 4.30 pm Friday – 08.00 am to 1.30 pm 30 minutes lunch 15 minutes Morning and Afternoon Breaks

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

You would be working across a varied product range, and your duties/training may include;

Understanding of materials
Understanding of fabrication drawings
Dimensional Inspection
Understanding of marking out using correct tools
Use of hand tools
Welding Tig/Mig
Clear understanding of Health & Safety & Procedures

GCSE Maths & English (Grade 4 or above) essential
