ASBESTOS AWARENESS TRAINING
Who is this course aimed at?
Asbestos Awareness training should be given to employees whose work could disturb the fabric of a building and expose them to asbestos and those who supervise or influence the work.
Content:
This course provides an appreciation of working environments containing asbestos including legal implications, assessing risk, safe removal and health surveillance.
Aims and Objectives of the course:
- On completion of the course delegates will be able to:
- Types and properties of asbestos
- Health effects of exposure to asbestos
- Uses and likely occurrences of asbestos
- Identification and location of asbestos in buildings
- Asbestos containing materials and products
- Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006
- Avoiding the risks from asbestos
- Asbestos risk assessments
- Management actions to prevent and reduce exposure
- Site clearance and certification

Achievement:
On completion of the tests, you will be provided with a Certificate of training.
