Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

The Alpine EDGE Programme is a structured 12-month rotational programme designed to develop early career talent into high-performing technical and operational professionals.

As a Business Administration Apprentice, you will rotate through key departments, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to live projects and working towards your Level 3 qualification.

Rotational Placements (2–4 months per rotation)

You may gain experience across areas including:

  • Proposals
  • Design
  • Pre-Construction
  • Projects & Rapids
  • Service Engineering (Sprinklers & Pumps)
  • Completions
  • Service Delivery
  • Health & Safety

Across each rotation you will:

  • Support day-to-day team activities
  • Assist with live projects and operational tasks
  • Work towards rotation-specific KPIs and learning objectives
  • Develop knowledge of fire suppression engineering processes
  • Build strong professional relationships
  • Deliver an end-of-rotation presentation to Directors outlining your achievements and learning

This role offers real responsibility, structured development and the opportunity to understand how multiple departments operate within a technical engineering business.

Training

You will complete the Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship (funded via the Apprenticeship Levy).

Requirements

Essential qualifications

  • GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths (essential)
  • Engineering-related subjects (desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence (desirable)
