Rochdale Training is an Independent Training Provider with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality education, skills and employability programmes across Greater Manchester.Working closely with employers, schools, local authorities and funding partners, we help people develop the skills, confidence and experience needed to progress into employment, apprenticeships and further learning.We're looking for an ambitious and experienced Curriculum Delivery Manager to join our Leadership Team and play a key role in shaping the future of our organisation.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, the Curriculum Delivery Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership across our Business curriculum, including Apprenticeships, Adult Skills, Alternative Provision and future funded programmes.You will lead a high-performing team, drive quality improvement, ensure compliance with funding and awarding body requirements, manage departmental performance and budgets, and build strong relationships with employers and stakeholders.This is an exciting opportunity to influence organisational strategy while ensuring every learner receives an outstanding learning experience that enables them to achieve, belong and thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for the Business curriculum, ensuring delivery aligns with organisational priorities and growth objectives.
- Lead, motivate and develop tutors, assessors and administrators through effective coaching, performance management and professional development.
- Drive continuous improvement in learner achievement, retention, progression, attendance and timely completion.
- Lead quality assurance activity, including the Self-Assessment Report (SAR), Quality Improvement Plan (QIP), learning walks, observations and Internal Quality Assurance (IQA).
- Coordinate Awarding Organisation and External Quality Assurance (EQA) visits, ensuring full compliance and successful outcomes.
- Monitor departmental performance, analysing data and implementing timely interventions where required.
- Manage departmental budgets and resources to deliver high-quality provision and achieve financial targets.
- Ensure compliance with ESFA, DfE, GMCA, Ofsted and Awarding Organisation requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with employers, funding bodies, awarding organisations and strategic partners.
- Identify opportunities to expand curriculum offer, secure new funding opportunities and grow employer partnerships.
- Champion safeguarding, Prevent, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, Health & Safety and learner wellbeing across the department.
- Promote Rochdale Training and contribute to organisational growth, business development and marketing activities.
About You
You are an experienced education or training leader with a passion for developing people and delivering exceptional learner outcomes.You have a proven track record of leading curriculum delivery, improving quality and performance, and creating a culture where staff and learners can succeed. You are equally confident analysing performance data, preparing for external inspection, managing change and developing strong employer partnerships.Above all, you are committed to delivering an outstanding learner experience and making a positive difference to people's lives.
What You'll Need
Essential
- Significant management experience within Further Education, Apprenticeships, Adult Skills or Work-Based Learning.
- Strong understanding of Apprenticeships, Adult Skills, Alternative Provision and education funding.
- Experience leading quality improvement and preparing for Ofsted and Awarding Organisation inspections.
- Experience managing curriculum performance through data, KPIs and quality assurance processes.
- Experience leading, motivating and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, Prevent, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion and Health & Safety.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Teaching qualification.
- Assessor qualification.
- IQA qualification (or willingness to work towards).
- Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification (or willingness to work towards).
Desirable
- Apprenticeship qualification at Level 3 or above.
- Experience managing Alternative Provision.
- Experience developing new curriculum or funded programmes.
- Experience managing departmental budgets.
- Experience within an Ofsted Good or Outstanding provider.

Monday – Thursday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Friday: 9:00am – 4:00pm
