As a Fabrication & Welding Apprentice at AMP Wire Ltd, you will work alongside experienced engineers and fabricators to develop practical skills across fabrication, welding and general workshop operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Assisting with fabrication tasks including measuring, cutting and preparing metal components
Supporting welding operations (such as MIG welding) under supervision
Assisting with the manufacture and assembly of wire partitions and metal products
Learning to read and understand basic engineering drawings and specifications
Using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment safely
Carrying out finishing work such as grinding, deburring and cleaning components
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment
Supporting quality checks and recording work completed
Attending off-the-job training to complete the Engineering Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship

This role provides a strong foundation in engineering and fabrication, ideal for someone looking to progress further within the manufacturing and welding industry.
