Who is this course aimed at?
Personnel who are involved in erecting, mobilising, inspecting and dismantling alloy scaffold towers.
This course would also suit managers, charge hands and supervisors who also manage the use of portable access equipment.
Course Content:
- Legislation and Codes of practice
- Alloy scaffold tower components
- Safe working practices
- Hazards
- Theory test, Inspection, practical erecting, moving and dismantling of Alloy scaffold towers.
Aims and Objectives of the course:
Operatives and managers should gain the necessary competence to apply current legislation in relation to employer and employee responsibilities and duties of care, this would include how to carry out legislated Inspection procedures, how to assess Working at Heights hazards in process, equipment and conduct thus reducing injuries by ensuring correct erecting mobilising and dismantling techniques

Lecture, theory assessment, practical training and assessments
Duration:
1 Day
Achievement:
A certificate of training and industry recognised competency photo card in the safe use and pre use checks of Mobile access towers - This will last for 5 years.
Delegate experience:
A working knowledge of scaffolding would be an advantage but is not essential. All delegates MUST be physically fit and able to carry out any practical during the service
PPE required:
Protective footwear, suitable head protection, suitable clothing and gloves for the practical session

Tower supplied free of charge
If required, we can supply a tower for the training on the day. We can also supply components, AGR systems & complete towers.
