Are you looking to develop your current career in Health and Social Care? This course will give you the knowledge and understanding of key principles and values required to work in the Care Sector. This course is designed for employed candidates looking to expand their knowledge.

This training has been made possible thanks to Greater Manchester Combined Authority securing funding to deliver Adult Education. This qualification will support learners to develop the knowledge and skills required to work in a range of clinical healthcare support settings and in health and adult care environments.

The qualification consists of mandatory and optional units. The mandatory units cover core competencies, while the optional units allow learners to choose from a variety of areas to tailor the qualification to their needs and interests, and to reflect the context of their work. It covers a wide range of areas including dementia awareness, mental health and well-being, supporting individuals with their physical and emotional care, daily living needs and healthcare procedures.

9 to 12 months.

Training Delivery?

Face to Face, 1 to 1 tutor support.

Learning Delivery?

One teaching lesson every 3 to 4 weeks.

Lesson Teaching Times?

Sessions last 1 to 2 hours.

Entry Requirements:

  • Candidates must be 19+.
  • Candidates live in Bury, Oldham, Tameside or Rochdale.
  • You must be committed for the full duration of the course.
  • Not already enrolled on any other funded course.
  • Photo identification required.
  • Candidate must be Employed.
