Rochdale Training has been providing Apprenticeship training for employers and learners since 1966. Recently rated GOOD in all areas by Ofsted, we are proud of our strong relationships with employers who offer Apprenticeships, Functional Skills, and work placements across Greater Manchester.
Due to significant growth, we are looking to expand our team. You will be required to engage new employers to support Apprentices and review the training needs of workforces across Greater Manchester.
We are looking for someone who is great with people and has a sales-focused mindset! You must have sales experience with a proven track record. You don't need to know about the education sector as full training will be provided.
Main Purpose of the Role:
Increase the number of Apprentices undertaking Apprenticeships through Rochdale Training Association (RTA) by engaging local employers and selling the benefits of work-based learning to employers and young people.
Increase the number of companies and individuals engaging in qualifications through the acquisition of new business and increase the range of products and services to our existing client base.
Work with engineering employers to ensure all engineering Skills Bootcamp learners have an interview by the end of their training and support thereafter to ensure learners progress into employment within the engineering industry.
Increase the sales of our commercial courses to new and existing companies in order to strengthen our key provider status of bespoke business-focussed training in the Greater Manchester area.
Key Tasks:
You will be required to support employers with Apprenticeships, and workforce development training tailored specifically to their business needs.
• Engaging employers, referral partners, learners, and other stakeholders to support the delivery of Apprenticeships, work experience and adult education targets
• Develop new business with employers by supporting them to assess their training needs and the benefit of having apprentices/trainees/skills bootcamp learners within their workforce
• To sell a wide range of Apprenticeships/ adult skills courses and other commercial training programmes
• To initiate, monitor and manage relationships with a range of employers and stakeholders, ensuring commercial viability for Rochdale Training and high levels of customer satisfaction
• Meet monthly targets for both business engagement and income generation
• Contribute to marketing materials and the preparation of good news stories
• Promote Equality and Diversity
• To be committed to the safeguarding and welfare of all learners
The Person:
Other requirements include;
- Being proactive in generating new business leads, responding to inquiries, and managing relationships with existing employers and referral agencies
- Being the main point of contact with the employers, including identifying needs and requirements and providing advice and guidance at every stage
- Conducting employer needs analysis, and subsequently developing training plans for employers and producing proposals
- Industry-specific experience in engaging with businesses, to deliver job outcomes, work placements, and sourcing Apprenticeship vacancies is highly desirable, but not essential
- Willingness to travel to a range of locations and hold a full driving license
Hours Per Week:
Monday to Thursday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
Friday, 9:00 am to 4:30 pm
Salary:
£27,000 + Uncapped Realistic Commission
