THOROUGH INSPECTION TRAINING FOR ALLOY TOWERS AND COMPONENTS
Who is this course aimed at?
Personnel who, as part of their operational duties, must in accordance with good practice and legislation carry out a thorough examination of alloy tower completed structures or the required components prior to issuing as work equipment.
Course Content:
- Legislation and regulations.
- Inspection and maintenance requirements for alloy towers.
- Record keeping and issuing requirements for alloy towers.
- Safe use of alloy towers.
- Relevant standards and manufacturers instruction manuals.
- Tower components
- Fault identification
- Reporting and disposal requirements
Aims and Objectives of the course:
Attendees should complete the service with an understanding of and the ability to assess and suitably deal with the risks arising when working at height which may involve the use of alloy towers, including an ability to inspect and keep the required documentation on file in line with the current regulations and approved codes of practice. It is also an objective that the delegate can identify non-conforming product and demonstrate further action required
Method:
Lecture, theory assessment, practical training and assessments.
Duration:
1 Day
Achievement:
A 3 year certificate of training for the thorough inspection of alloy towers and components.
Delegate experience:
A working knowledge of harnesses would be an advantage but is not essential. All delegates MUST be physically fit and able to carry out any practical during the service
PPE required:
Suitable hard hat, gloves and boots
