Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • The building of electronic assemblies
  • Learn and develop skills and knowledge to run basic machinery
  • Fault find, diagnose, repair, service & calibrate existing products
  • Learn how to get information in an out of the company operating system
  • Gain hands-on experience in various engineering tasks such as data collection, analysis, and interpretation
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and solve technical challenges
  • Attend project meetings, site visits, and training sessions to gain practical knowledge
  • Utilize software and tools to assist in project analysis and design
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company standards at all times
  • Actively participate in knowledge sharing and continuous learning opportunities
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of project details and progress

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

  • GCSE 5 Subjects (Grade Grade 4/C or above) essential
